Agriforvalor Training Academy aims to improve the entrepreneurial skills of participants so that they can take forward their ideas in the bio-based sector. The Academy includes 3 workshops in the first half of 2018.
These are tailored to farmers, foresters, RTDs, academy and bio industry. Two trainings have already been carried out.
Two trainings have already been carried out:
1. Enterpreneurial skills training
The Enterpreneurial skills training was held in Budapest on 19 February 2018; 17 participants from research organisations and bio-industry attended.
The workshop was divided into two main parts: Valorisation strategy, business planning and Partnering.
During the whole workshop, the speaker motivated the participants, facilitated an active discussion, whereby the participants not only raised questions, but also presented and shared their knowledge and experiences.
2. Marketing and negotiation
A Marketing and negotiation training was held in Budapest on 20 March 2018. The event focused on Brand building and Negotiation, which were presented by two speakers of University of Szeged, Faculty of Economics.
The essentials of effective communication were presented from the point of view of entering and functioning on the market with a new idea, especially in the bio-industry and agriculture; market research and pricing methods were also tackled. Tips for effectual negotiation techniques were discussed and the speakers told a number of success and failure stories. The workshop ended up with a lively discussion among participants.
