CakePHP The first workshop of the Andalusian hub was held on 24th November 2016 in Seville.

The workshop "Valorization of Andalusian agriforest sidestreams" was held on 24th November 2016 in the central headquarters of the Andalusian Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development. More than 100 people gathered in the auditorium where the potential of agricultural and forestry biomass in Andalusia was highlighted and the need to create new and innovative synergies to put in value. Circular economy, bioeconomy, needs and challenges were the axes on which the presentations revolved. Approaching the main actors interested in the valorisation of agricultural and forestry biomass in Andalusia to create collaborative links was one of the objectives of the workshop in Seville.

Throughout the day, practical success cases on the valorization of agricultural and forest biomass were presented and research projects being developed at that moment. Thus, practices and technologies already present in the market were announced, some of them still under development but with promising prospects. Also, barriers and opportunities that have been detected though the project activities were presented as well as analyzed the challenges of the future.

In the afternoon session, the attendees were able to participate openly in two parallel workshops created specifically for the agro-food and forestry sectors. These highly productive workshops helped participants to share their thoughts and experiences on the use of biomass and their expectations for the future and set up support and cooperation networks, where the first interest groups emerged and will be supported by the AGRIFORVALOR project for the advice on the design of innovation strategies in this area.
